Hello

My name is Davina Shirley and I am your Fruits for Life Coach! I was raised in Mansfield, OH but now reside in Denver, Colorado. In faith, I moved to Colorado in 2020.  This presented me with the opportunity to be an Academic Coach for Goal High School. As an Academic Coach, I set out to build healthy and trusting relationships that would lead to each student's success in school and at home. After producing the highest outcomes for students in our region and the third highest statewide in the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 school years, I was led to life coaching. I attended the International Association of Professional Career College and received my certification for life coaching on July 20, 2021.

Principals I Follow

Core Values: I grew up in a military family and I served in the Air National Guard for 6 years. In the Air Force, we live and serve with a commitment to three core values: Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence in All We Do. Integrity First is controlling impulses and exercising courage, honesty, and accountability to do what is right even when no one is looking (Proverbs 10:9). Service Before Self is the expectation to have the discipline to follow rules, exhibit self-control and possess respect for the beliefs, authority, and worth of others (Matthew 20:28). Excellence in All We Do is to strive for continual improvement in self and service to propel forward and achieve greater accomplishments and performance for myself and others (2 Peter 1:5).

Underdog Mentality: The setting of your mind on winning against all odds. This is the mentality I feel David had when he defeated Goliath (1 Samuel 17:32-51).  David’s age, occupation, dress, height, and skills were underestimated by Goliath and everyone else. However, he defeated the giant with a smooth stone and a sling. In life, we can focus more on what we lack but we have everything we need, like David, to do whatever God has called us to do.

ALL IN: Some people see me as an extremist because I go to great lengths to give 100% in everything I do. If I want the best for myself and my clients I must always give my best (Luke 6:38). Giving my best will only bring out the best in you.

Progression Over Perfection: None of us are perfect and even with our imperfection, we are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalms 139:14). We must be relentless about learning, growing, evolving, and improving. Focusing on progress instead of perfection can make it much easier and enjoyable to reach your goals.

Ultimately, if you choose me as your coach, you're choosing someone who’s not going to give up on you. I’ll be your biggest cheerleader and remain H.O.T (Honest, Open, and Transparent). This is a no-judgment-free zone! You will be treated with the utmost respect.
